Job Title  WATER RESOURCES ENGINEER / PROJECT MANAGER

Location  Georgia – Norcross

Job Description  Hayes, James & Associates, Inc. has an immediate need in our Norcross, GA office for a Water Resource Engineer.  This engineer will work on a number of wastewater, water supply, water reuse, and civil design projects. He/she will run a project team consisting of junior engineering and design staff. As a member of this team, he/she would contribute by:

• Being a senior project manager charged with planning, developing, coordinating, and directing multiple projects for municipal and private clients.
• Visualizing and assuming responsibility for new business development activities within areas of expertise, especially in the areas of water and wastewater planning and design.
• Developing proposals and presentations and taking the lead in business development including developing scopes of work and fee proposals.
• Actively participating in professional societies in which clients or potential clients are members.
• Acting as mentor for lower-level employees.
• Directing the work of a staff of engineers and technicians.

Job Requirements  A successful candidate will have: B.S. in engineering 6+ years of experience since B.S. Registration as P.E. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Previous experience in municipal consulting strongly desired as well as experience working on wastewater, water supply, water reuse, and civil design projects. The successful candidate must be an accomplished business developer with excellent client relationship, interpersonal, time management and listening skills.
