Hayes | James was responsible for completing the design for a 1.75 MGD wastewater treatment plant. The project involved converting two trickling filter basins to aeration basins for an activated sludge process. Hayes | James designed a new headworks, clarifier, and tertiary filters, as well as converted the anaerobic digester to an Ultrair aerobic digester. In addition, Hayes | James was responsible for permitting of the plant, irrigation system, and spray areas on the golf course. Effluent holding ponds, transfer pumps and reject ponds were designed and construction phase services were provided by the firm.
