Job Description

Our Water Resources Department focuses on providing timely, cost effective solutions to our client’s water and sewer needs. We are a small but growing department with opportunity for advancement. Our primary service area is the northern half of Georgia.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the challenges associated with providing adequate water distribution and sewer collection service to our client’s customers.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a collaborative team member with a project manager and other engineers.
  • Produce reports, studies, specifications and construction documents.
  • Have a working knowledge of Autocad and Civil 3D.
  • Develop a knowledge of different project types through continued work experience.
  • Participate in business development efforts such as networking in industry organizations, i.e.: GAWP, GRWA, ASCE, AWWA, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 2-3 years of design experience
  • Proficient in Autocad and Civil 3D
  • Ability to obtain PE license

Our Survey Department focuses on providing timely, cost effective surveys to our private and public-sector clients. We are a small but growing department with opportunity for advancement. Our primary service area is the northern half of Georgia.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the challenges associated with providing quality field surveying services to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Participate as a member of a 2 or 3-man survey crew performing a variety of roles
  • Work as an instrument operator providing boundary and topographic surveys, construction staking, utility surveys, etc.
  • Train rod men as necessary
  • Coordinate with client representatives in the field as necessary
  • Participate in company mandated safety programs

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of surveying experience
  • Minimum of 1 years’ immediate past experience as a survey party chief
  • Proficient with a variety of survey equipment

Our Site Development Department focuses on providing timely, cost effective solutions to our client’s site design needs. We are a small but growing department with opportunity for advancement. Our primary service area is the northern half of Georgia.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the challenges associated with providing site designs that support and enhance projects developed by our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a collaborative team member with a project manager and other engineers.
  • Produce construction documents reflecting site, grading, utility and erosion control plans for a variety of site design projects.
  • Produce reports, studies and specifications supporting a variety of site design projects.
  • Be proficient in drainage collection and transfer design.
  • Have a working knowledge of storm water detention systems. Work toward becoming an expert through project experience.
  • Have a working knowledge of Autocad and Civil 3D as used to develop construction documents.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
  • Develop a knowledge of different project types through continued work experience.
  • Visit sites prior to and during construction to observe conditions and/or work progress
  • Assist other departments with design of projects as necessary
  • Participate in business development efforts such as networking in industry organizations, i.e.: GSPE, ASCE, ULI, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a collaborative team member with a project manager and other engineers.
  • Exercise judgement and independent thinking when applying standard techniques, criteria and procedures to design development.
  • Be familiar with site development plan production.
  • Produce reports, studies and specifications supporting a variety of site design projects.
  • Be proficient in drainage collection and transfer design.
  • Have a working knowledge of storm water detention systems. Develop hydrology studies and detention designs per local guidelines in the various metropolitan Atlanta counties.
  • Be proficient in utilizing Autocad and Civil 3D as used to develop construction documents.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
  • Have a knowledge of different project types through continued work experience.
  • Visit sites prior to and during construction to observe conditions and/or work progress
  • Assist other departments with design of projects as necessary
  • Serve as technical advisor to junior engineers in project design and plan production areas
  • Participate in business development efforts such as networking in industry organizations, i.e.: GSPE, ASCE, ULI, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 4 - 5 years of design experience
  • Proficient in Autocad and Civil 3D
  • Ability to obtain PE license

  • Manage projects from concept through construction
  • Develop an overall understanding of client’s long-term goals.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of design experience

Salary
