Job Description

Our Survey Department provides boundary and topographic surveys of all types for public and private sector clients. We also provide construction staking, easements and final subdivision plats. We are a small but growing department with opportunity for advancement. Our primary service area is the northern half of Georgia.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the challenges associated with providing surveys that support and enhance projects developed by our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a collaborative team member with a project manager and other engineers.
  • Review and seal survey related documents on behalf of Hayes, James.
  • Plan workflow, schedule and supervise field crews and technicians.
  • Assist with hiring of field personnel and survey technicians.
  • Visit sites as necessary to determine survey scope parameters.
  • Prepare written proposals for standalone survey work and assist other engineering project managers with survey pricing and scope delineation.
  • Manage survey projects including budgeting, proposal preparation, billing, work production and client relationships.
  • Perform reduction of survey field data and draft boundary and topographic surveys. Prepare field staking data and download data to field crews
  • Assist with planning and performance of survey related business development efforts.
  • Assist with management of survey equipment and software. Evaluate equipment and software and assist with selection of new purchases.
  • Obtain licensure in other states as needed to support company functions.
  • Field requests from the general public and other surveyors for copies of previously completed surveys and other documents.
  • Participate in business development efforts such as networking in industry organizations and client meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Surveying
  • 8 - 10 years of survey experience
  • Proficient in Autocad and Civil 3D

Job Description

Our Water Resources Department focuses on providing timely, cost effective solutions to our client’s water and sewer needs. We are a small but growing department with opportunity for advancement. Our primary service area is the northern half of Georgia.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the challenges associated with providing adequate water distribution and sewer collection service to our client’s customers.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a collaborative team member with a project manager and other engineers.
  • Produce reports, studies, specifications and construction documents.
  • Have a working knowledge of Autocad and Civil 3D.
  • Develop a knowledge of different project types through continued work experience.
  • Participate in business development efforts such as networking in industry organizations, i.e.: GAWP, GRWA, ASCE, AWWA, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 2-3 years of design experience
  • Proficient in Autocad and Civil 3D
  • Ability to obtain PE license

Job Description

Our Survey Department focuses on providing timely, cost effective surveys to our private and public sector clients. Surveying is a growing department with opportunities for advancement. Our primary service area is the northern half of Georgia.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing quality in-house survey plans and other services to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs work as assigned from sketches, verbal instructions, and notes
  • Research land records at County Recorder’s office
  • Prepare Records of Surveys, Right-of-way plans, Exhibits, and various mapping products using CADD with help from Survey Supervisor
  • Coordinate with clients, various agencies, and other internal departments
  • Establishes and maintains task schedules
  • Reports to Project Manager
  • Maintains knowledge of current design and drafting procedures
  • Requires good work ethic, able to work a timely schedule on a consistent basis

Preferred Capabilities:

  • Experienced Drafter/Cadd Operator performing technical drafting support for assigned projects independently. Has a working knowledge of civil engineering technology.
  • Prepare correspondence and reports using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Understanding of deed interpretation, principles of surveying a plus but not required

Education:

  • Requires High School diploma, CADD training

Job Description

Our Survey Department focuses on providing timely, cost effective surveys to our private and public-sector clients. We are a small but growing department with opportunity for advancement. Our primary service area is the northern half of Georgia.

Responsibilities

  • Participate as a member of a 2 or 3-man survey crew performing a variety of roles
  • Work as an instrument operator providing boundary and topographic surveys, construction staking, utility surveys, etc.
  • Train rod men as necessary
  • Coordinate with client representatives in the field as necessary
  • Participate in company mandated safety programs

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of surveying experience
  • Minimum of 1 years’ immediate past experience as a survey party chief
  • Proficient with a variety of survey equipment

  • Be responsible for daily crew operations
  • Working knowledge of boundary and topographic surveys, construction staking, utility surveys, etc
  • Coordinate with client representatives in the field as necessary
  • Provide survey calculations as necessary to support field work
  • Conduct daily and survey safety meetings

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of surveying experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ immediate past experience as a survey party chief
  • Proficient with a variety of survey equipment
  • Working knowledge of civil engineering plans
